Growth Groups

Do you love Church on Sunday morning? Then, you need the rest of the story!

To sign up, contact us, and let us know what group you’d like to join.

Sermons are great, and we learn a lot – but then what? How do we apply this to our lives? Can we go deeper, and figure out something even more profound? That’s what Growth groups are for! We often say:

“The Church service is part-A, but Growth Groups are part-B. Without them, you’re missing half of the sermon.

– GROWTH GROUPS START NOVEMBER 26th! –

Growth Group Leaders and Hosts, January 2016.What are they, exactly?

Growth Groups are 10-week long home study groups. Each group meets, usually in someone’s home, to study the sermon more in depth with question guides and other resources.
While there, the other goals include getting to know each other (health Christian Community), having fun, and grow and learn how to do church together!

Growth groups are also the “hands and feet” of the Church.  If someone gets sick, or needs to move, etc, the GG is their closest community and communities care for each other.

When and What’s the Commitment?
New groups start about every 10 weeks, so if you’re interested in joining contact us!
No commitments for the first 3 weeks. Jump in and out to see if the group fits your personality and schedule. On week #3 we ask everyone to make a decision: am I going to stick with this for the next 7 weeks or not.

The Four Goals of Growth Groups

Goal 1: Changed Lives.
The real goal of Growth Group’s is to change lives.  To make people more like Jesus, and draw nearer to God.

Goal 2: Healthy Christian Community.
It is not enough just to teach people to “live better.”  We must help them to “live together.”  Spending time on building relationships is never a lost cause among Christians.

Goal 3: Provide Care.
These groups should be the “hands and feet” of the Church.  If someone gets sick, or needs to move, etc, the GG is their closest community and communities care for each other.

Goal 4: Cultivate leaders.
We are also interested in growing the Church’s base of leaders.  For a number of reasons: so GG leaders don’t have to lead ALL THE TIME and so that we can have more GGs as the Church grows!  GG leaders should be helping other people lead, host, teach, etc.
