What would you be willing to risk for Jesus?
In the sermon, Bishop Ron Bowell looks at men and women throughout the Bible who took risks because they trusted God. From Moses and David to Daniel, Peter, and Paul, they all faced danger, opposition, and uncertainty.
These people did not know how everything would turn out. But they believed God was worth trusting. They were willing to risk their comfort, reputation, freedom, and even their lives to obey Him.
The Bible does not promise an easy life. Jesus said we would face trouble in this world. But He also promised to be with us every step of the way.
This message challenges us to ask a hard question: What am I unwilling to risk for God? My job? My friendships? My reputation?
Following Jesus has always required faith. The greatest rewards often come when we trust Him enough to step out in obedience.
What risk is God calling you to take?
Out of all the places that I figured I would eventually belong, a church would have definitely been at the bottom of that list. The people here are amazing and make life fun. I honestly couldn't see myself belonging anywhere else.
