In desperate times, our faith will either rise or face its demise. In Matthew 9, Jairus and a suffering woman both faced impossible situations. They had every reason to give up, but instead, they took a risk and put their hope in Jesus.
Jairus risked his reputation and position by coming to Jesus for help. The woman risked shame and rejection just to reach out to Jesus. Both found healing through faith.
What do we do when life feels desperate? Do we hide our faith, or do we trust Jesus even when others laugh or tell us to give up?
This message challenges us to pray big prayers, follow Jesus no matter the ridicule, and build strong faith before desperate times come.
Out of all the places that I figured I would eventually belong, a church would have definitely been at the bottom of that list. The people here are amazing and make life fun. I honestly couldn't see myself belonging anywhere else.
