What are you holding on to that God is asking you to let go? In the sermon "Getting the Best Means Letting Go First," we look at John 12:12–29 and hear Jesus teach a surprising truth. In God's Kingdom, the way to gain life is to let go of it. The disciples wanted Jesus to keep His power and avoid the cross. But Jesus knew that true victory would come through His death and resurrection. God's plan was greater than they expected. Jesus gives the same challenge to us. If we want to follow Him, we must stop making our own lives the center of everything. Real life is found when we trust God enough to put His plans ahead of our own. That can mean taking risks, making sacrifices, and letting go of comfort. It isn't always easy—even Jesus was troubled by what He would face. But He chose to obey His Father anyway. What are you holding on to that God is asking you to surrender?
