God Knew! BETRAYAL at the Last Supper.

How could Jesus know He would be betrayed—and still move forward anyway? In the sermon "God Knew! Betrayal at the Last Supper," we look at Mark 14:12–26 and see that nothing happening to Jesus was an accident. Judas’ betrayal did not surprise Him. God already had a plan. At the Passover meal, Jesus connects His coming death to the story of Exodus. Just as the blood of the lamb protected God’s people in Egypt, Jesus’ blood would become the final sacrifice for sin. Through Him, we can be forgiven and rescued from judgment. Jesus even tells His disciples ahead of time that one of them will betray Him. Instead of proudly denying it, they each ask, “Surely you don’t mean me?” They understood that anyone is capable of falling without God’s help. For a moment, everything looked hopeless. Jesus was betrayed, abandoned, and headed toward the cross. But what looked like defeat was actually part of God’s rescue plan all along. This message reminds us that God is still working even when life looks broken or confusing. Evil does not defeat His plans. No matter what sin, failure, or regret is in your past, Jesus still offers forgiveness, hope, and a new beginning.
