CloseWhat will you do when doing the right thing costs you something? In the sermon "Standing Up for What’s Right," we look at Daniel 6 and see a man who was persecuted, not for doing wrong, but for doing what was right. Daniel's enemies set a trap for him because they could not find fault in his character. He was trustworthy, faithful, and hardworking. When the pressure came, Daniel did not compromise, but he also did not become loud or reckless. He simply continued the habits of faith he had practiced for years. This message reminds us that following Jesus will sometimes cost us. We may lose opportunities, friendships, comfort, or approval from others. The question is: are we ready? Daniel's courage did not begin in the lion's den. It was built long before through daily faithfulness to God. The same is true for us. The choices we make today prepare us for the challenges of tomorrow. Will you choose compromise—or stand firm when it matters most?
