Whose approval matters most to you: God’s or other people’s?
In Mark 15, Jesus stands before Pilate while the crowd demands His death. Pilate knows Jesus has done nothing wrong, but he gives in because he wants to satisfy the crowd. The people want to fit in, the leaders want to protect their own interests, and Pilate wants their approval.
Jesus chooses a different path. He stays faithful to His Father, even when it costs Him His life. He willingly goes to the cross, showing love even to His enemies.
We all face a choice. We can live for the applause of others, our own desires, or God’s approval. But following Jesus means putting God first, even when it is hard or unpopular.
