A Wolf or a Brother?

Who should you correct—and who should you completely avoid? In the sermon "A Wolf or a Brother?" we look at Mark 14:1–11 and learn the difference between personal preferences, unhealthy churches, and truly dangerous false teachers. Not every Christian worships the same way. Some churches spend money differently, preach differently, or have styles we may not like. That does not automatically make them false. Christians can disagree on many non-essential things while still following Jesus faithfully. But the Bible also warns about “savage wolves” who distort the gospel, chase fame or money, and lead people away from Christ. Jesus warned about them. Paul warned about them. And Christians are called to be alert. This message helps us think carefully and biblically. Some people need patience, teaching, and correction. Others should be exposed and rejected because they consistently twist the truth about Jesus. The goal is not becoming cynical or angry. The goal is discernment. The best protection against false teaching is knowing the Bible for yourself. Read it carefully, in context, and stay rooted in the truth. Can you tell the difference between a wolf and a brother?
