What happens when people fail us? What can we count on when people make the wrong choices?
In Mark 14, Jesus is betrayed by Judas, abandoned by His disciples, and treated unfairly by the religious leaders. Peter even tries to help but gets it badly wrong. One failure follows another.
But Jesus remains faithful.
This passage reminds us that people will fail. We will fail. But God will not. Even when we are faithless, God remains faithful because He is always good.
When life feels confusing or painful, we can remind ourselves that God has not forgotten us. He is still with us, still working, and still doing what is good.
Instead of letting human failure shake our faith, we can look to Jesus and remember: EVERYONE DESERTED HIM, BUT HE STAYED FAITHFUL
